英文学科の代表として6年間の成果を英文で失礼します。It has been about 6 years since I started living my college life in Tsuru. Looking from the present to the past, all I can say is that without Tsuru University I could have not achieved my dreams. At first, I wanted to enter Tsuru University because of their exchange program with the University of California. I was interested in this program because I heard from my seniors, who were Tsuru University students, that I will be able to take world-class courses (also not provided in Tsuru University) from world-class professors. This was a great opportunity for me since my life goal was to create a company that will provide a better living for the people in the future. Being able to take courses of entrepreneurship, business, and other related courses will for sure bootstrap me on reaching my goal. This was the main reason I wanted to enter Tsuru University, besides my parents forcing me to only go to Tsuru University at that time. 2 years passed after entering Tsuru University, I was lost. I was not the person that I used to be when I was in high school. But thanks to the great communities that I was able to be a part of at Tsuru University, helped me redirect my path to my success. The International Aairs community at Tsuru University was the best thing that happened for me. I was able to meet and create strong relationships with great people who inuenced and helped me to become the person that I wanted to become. All of this could not have been possible if it was not for Tsuru University and especially for the sta in the International Aairs Center. I would not have been the person I am right now. With the knowledge that I have gained from my professors, the connection that I have made with exchange students, classmates, sta, and especially the friends I have met in Tsuru as well in UC Davis, I am reaching my goal closer day by day. From the startup that my friends and I built in the US, I hope that we can make it successful soon and bring our services to Japan so that I can give back to the society that gave me when I was in need of help. Thank you to my professors, the staff in the International Affairs Center, the international dormitory staff, friends, family, and last but not least Tsuru University for helping me grow and make a better version of myself. I hope to see you soon.英文学科4年Caldito Mathew夢と都留文科大学ESS部と交換留学生とのハロウィンパーティー11都留文科大学報 第145号
